Two hundred years ago, humans drove the dragons from the islands of May. Now, the last of the dragons rises to wreak havoc anew-with only a healer’s daughter and a kite-flying would-be hero standing in its way.
“Romantic artwork, rich and elegant in color, powerful in design and line, gives vivid life to this tale of a young village couple outwitting a dragon.” – Ursula K. Le Guin
Enjoy this excerpt from Jane Yolen and Rebecca Guay’s new graphic novel, The Last Dragon, out this week from Dark Horse Comics!
.
Looks really good and the neat thing, for me anyway, is that Ms. Guay is a childhood friend of mine.
So very pleased to see her do so well at what she’s always loved to do.

Sho’Nuff! Wait… wrong thread.
Came across The Last Dragon on Modern Myths Comics this week. I was passing the new book table and saw the cover…. Eeeert, put on the brakes when I noticed Rebecca’s distinct style of art. I very much enjoy her art style , it stands on its own and apart from so much other comic book artwork. The Last Dragons been put in my hold bin while I save my pennies. Looking forward to reading the story and enjoying the art work when I pick it up.
Cheers, Mike
Another Yolen masterpiece.
A little more dramatic than The Emperor and the Kite.
